What
is an audit?
An audit is an independent examination of the evidence
supporting the amounts and disclosures in the financial
statements. An audit also includes assessing the
accounting principles used and significant estimates made
by management, as well as evaluating overall financial
statement presentation. Audit standards do not permit an
auditor to fix or adjust their client’s accounting system
or records.
Why
do you need an audit?
An audit may be required by an external organization such
as a bank or a regulatory authority. In other cases, an
audit may be requested by owners or management because
they want their financial records inspected to ensure the
financial statements are properly stated or to improve
accounting efficiency and internal
controls.
How
do you prepare for an audit?

detail schedules and reconciliations for your auditor. We
